Upendra is part of the Strategy and Operations Consulting services at ARDENT and brings in more than 17 years of consulting experience in areas of Finance Transformation, Process Improvement, Target Operating Model design, Project and Program Management design, set-up and management, Supply Chain and Manufacturing Operations.
He has been instrumental in advising CXOs across multiple industries primarily focusing on banking and financial services, manufacturing and real estate and construction.
Prior to joining ARDENT, Upendra was associated with two of the Big 4 management consulting firms and worked across multiple geographies in the US, UK, Middle East, Southeast Asia, and India.
Experience
- Developed successful application pack for payments bank approval. Set-up and ran PMO for setting up and launching the payments bank. The work included designing the back, front and middle office processes, organization structure, synergies with partners, product-channel mix, and financial model design
- Developed Finance target operating model which included service delivery framework, lean process design, and finance and IT function benchmarking. Set-up of captive shared service center for accounts payable and procurement function.
- Worked on numerous process re-design assignments across purchase to pay, order to cash, record to report and forecast to fulfill processes. These assignments included understanding of current state, issues and risks and development of future state processes and policies, RACI and delegation of authority mapping, functional RFP design, ERP and SI selection and implementation PMO.
- Tax optimized distributor supply chain re-design leading to reduced cost, improved and targeted SLAs across the supply chain for Indian operations of global pharmaceutical major. Re-designed order to cash process to support outsourcing to 3PL service provider.
- Re-design IT requirement to fulfilment processes and managed program management office for the CIO for global IT shared service center for #1 Public sector bank in India.
