Vinay is a member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India with more than 10 years of experience in Indirect Taxation, covering Service Tax, GST, and VAT and have catered to diverse clientele from Insurance, Construction, Educational, Manufacturing sectors, and service providers. Vinay has also worked in Corporate Tax domain handling compliances and advisory matters

Prior to joining ARDENT, he was working with Shapoorji Pallonji and Company Private Limited handling their entire portfolio of Indirect Tax Litigation and Corporate Tax as a Senior Manager in the Group Centre.

Experience

Vinay has led the team which was in-charge of handling Indirect Tax related advisory for clientele belonging to Insurance, Construction, Education and Manufacturing sectors and has overlooked and assisted the clients in ensuring smooth GST implementation, day to day advisory, litigation and representation before tax authorities

Managed corporate tax compliances and advisory matters (withholding tax, advance tax, deferred tax) of the S&P group. Handled GST related compliances including return filings, preparation and filing of refund claims, health check ups for educational institutions, construction company, etc. He also has experience in handling GST audits conducted by tax authorities and assisted and represented clients before tax authorities in GST audits

Vinay has advised clients on transaction taxability, cross charge mechanics, OIDAR services, GST rate applicability, determination of HSN for goods/services

Vinay has been leading and representing clients in tax litigation matters before tax authorities, appellate authorities in various cases involving refund claims, tax demands etc. He is also assisting his seniors in representation before departmental authorities
