Profile

Jemia is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) having over 3 years of experience in Statutory Audit, VAT Consulting, and Internal Audit. She is also pursuing to earn the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation.

Prior to joining Ardent, Jemia had worked with an international audit firm through which she gained knowledge and expertise in the field of Audit and VAT Consulting.

Experience

• During her tenure, Jemia has gained experience in industries such as Airline, Education, FMCG, Non-profit, Construction, and others.
• Jemia has assisted in the ICV implementation for one of the largest conglomerates in the UAE. The scope of the work included the analysis of the spend and supplier data for identifying ICV opportunities, development of policies, processes, reporting requirements, operating model, training and communications for the effective and efficient implementation of ICV across its various subsidiaries/ sister companies in the UAE
• Jemia has executed multiple statutory audit engagements across various industries. She has gained comprehensive understanding of clients operations, processes and business objectives and utilised the knowledge gained in the audit engagements. She has coordinated audits and prepared audit work papers, performed test of controls and test of details and compiled statements
• Jemia has dealt with preparing and submitting VAT returns for clients across various industries on a monthly and quarterly basis. She has also advised clients on the tax regulations and ensured clients are informed on the updates
